What's happening in Room 14

Hi Parents!

A quick update on homework for the rest of this term..

This term we are studying FLIGHT!

For homework your child is required to create a kite for our Flight Day which is on the 7th September. They will be getting a homework sheet on the Monday coming with this information on it.

There is a catch....aside from the glue and string... all materials used must be recycled! Get them to have a look on the internet or in the library in flight books and see what cool design they can come up with!

In your childs homework book on Monday coming, they will be given a Stage 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 mathematics sheet with different activities they can complete at home at their level. Once they have done one of these and written it in their homework book, colour in the activity on the sheet so we can see that it has been completed.

Every week without fail your child will have spelling words, please make sure these are being tested each night!

On the blog there are a number of different sites for maths, writing, spelling and reading and I am updating these as I develop the blog further. Please encourage your child to use these to supplement their spelling and mathematics homework that is glued into their book.

Have a wonderful weekend :) and enjoy kite making!
